Hey guys, I thought I'd upload the stages of my painting here. I do it on twitpic too. It's based on this photo that Jade took when we met them in Sheffield last week, They very kindly posed for me.....how amazing is that? I'm using oils on canvas and it's 3ft wide by 2 ft high. Ist stage: drawn on canvas with charcoal: 2nd stage: blocked in areas with dilute oils ans started putting in basic shading:

Leeloo, that is beyond awesome! Really! The best one yet, by a country mile. You´ve done an absolutely superb job with their features and their overall look. The boys are gonna love it. I´m sure mummy Grimes will really appreciate it too

It's interesting to see how it changes through all the different stages you post. What's the next stage? I'd love to see the full size picture you printed off too - I bet that's distracting

I'd love to see the full size picture you printed off too - I bet that's distracting It's so big it doesn't even fit on the wall properly....I've had to curl part of it around the corner ;D Seriously Jade, we could get s massive poster of this printed out in Staples. The quality is just brilliant! That's one hell of a good camera! The next stage is building up their faces, and especially the eyes....I always like to get them done early on as it's a crucial part of the pic. Then adding more tones to the flesh. I'm really into this one, I can feel it's going to be amazing to paint and will hopefully be a success!!

You have done a great job in capturing their energy and in particular the intensity of the eyes as they stare at each other and not breakdown in fits of laughter.

Aww, it was them that did that for me. They were so good about it too! The first photo though, they're both smiling, the one where Edward has turned to look at me! I'm telling you, they're not all hyper all the time, they are very professional when they need to be! They had to stand looking at each other for quite a bit while I sorted out my phone. Amazing of them!

I've done a little more work, started building up their faces and adding some definition.
