I was interested to see this article with Linda Martin talking about the work she's done with the twins. It's excellent advice for all walks of like, not just showbiz, and will stand them in good stead whatever they end up doing. It's evidently paying off - remember John saying "Ed, shake his hand!" after their interview with John Gaunt at the Sun? And they clearly have a great memory for their fans' names judging by their shout-outs on Twitter.

Before John and Edward Grimes were hurled into X Factor fame, Linda did some work with the pair. Her good friend Louis Walsh asked her to give Jedward a little training.
"I met up with them after seeing the audition they'd done on The X Factor." She felt they were being slightly arrogant. "I told them, 'Lads, that stops now'. We started working on microphones and monitors. We worked on meeting people and remembering names. I explained that if producers were given a choice between working with an average talent and a nice person or a brilliant talent but a horrible person, they will always go for the nice person.
"I said to them, you do not believe your own publicity and you do not change. You've got to be nice to people on the way up because they remember you when you're on the way down. You treat everybody with respect and you must be punctual. When Louis Walsh says jump, you say how high. It's about being a professional. The two big phrases for the twins were 'please' and 'thank you'. I taught them to shake hands, nice and firm. Good, old-fashioned manners."
Does she think they will go far?
"They're smashing fellas, very well reared. The production team in England said they'd work with them any day of the week. They are bright and I think they'd be perfect for kids. Imagine a Home Alone with John and Edward. They're not going to be the best singers but, when you think about it, Madonna isn't a great singer. I think there's a big future for Jedward if the right person gets them. But the beauty about them was that they wanted to learn."

Yes, I read it before on this forum, wanted to comment on it, but forgot where it was. I know nothing about this woman, but if it's true it seems that they listened to her EVERY word, and took notes. Everything she said applies to them, but it seems like they do it so naturally it's hard to think of it as something they've just learned couple of months/weeks ago.I don't know what to think of it actually

Bottom line is that I think they clearly were polite, well brought up kids to begin with. Their parents did a great job long before she got her hands on them.
