The carnival Tour really looks awesome and amazing everything was done properly from backdrop, props, etc. and even if the twins hasnt perfected their dance moves esp Edward ( sometimes i think he dance either with 2 left feet or 2 right feet and mixed with bouncing ;D) they really look great. Do they do most of the songs live or lipsinc or combination? i cant figure out but whatever i understand if they mixed it together - or Johns' voice will not last long . www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dcCENbIfnc&feature=uploademailreally love this im crying literally coz im feeling like im not gonna see this live. its so frustrating sometimes.. they have another show in INEC in Nov so where does UK tour will be if ever there is one. I just wish they say nothing at all.. so i can buy a shoes or maybe iphone to amuse myself as this tour is soooooooo good to miss and im so frustrated ;D waiting and wondering is killing me ..

I'm too gutted I'm not doing this this tour so I've avoided videos like the plague. Nit gonna watch until tour is over.
Also, apparently the twins confirmed on Irish TV that a UK tour is happening

I saw the CT on Monday ( 2nd night) at the Grand Canal. I was sitting at the side in an area for wheelchair users, we could see most of the stage, but not the backdrop as it was obscured by tall speakers, ( think quite a few people at either end of the stalls row had their views limited too due to these) it also meant when the boys were right at the back of the stage we couldn't see them either........ but
To be honest, I found it a concert of two distinct halves. The first half has the carnival theme, albeit not with every song, and has glitter guns, snow machines, scooters, bouncy castle, an acrobat, all they ever wanted, I'm sure in a gig, yet it didn't quite work, maybe due to early days of gig; it felt disjointed, especially when the bouncy castle appeared, it wasn't necessary. The boys entrance is great, but, the mishmash of the two songs they sing, Pink & Brittany, didn't have the impact desired to grab your attention, unlike the opener for the Bad Behaviour Tour. My two friends all felt the same, it was lacking something. Some of the dance moves were not perfect, but, given the lack of time the boys have for rehersal, they were about 95% on the mark, but saying that, I don't want perfection from them, I want their own moves in there, and it seems as they were busy concentrating on the timing of proper moves they lost a little of their originality they always put in a dance. if you know what I mean, but being Jed fans you do!. The new songs sound great, and the staging of Pop Rocket, Everyday Superstar, Hold the World Techno Girl & Saturday Night were really good. Now the holiday sequence, with the makebelieve bus, the bouncy castle etc for me is the weakest part, it doesn't quite flow. Felt sure, after the 300000 vid they'd been appearing in short, shorts, but no, the dancers do, but John & Edward come out dressed like holiday reps in their blazers and ties! The bit with the "dog" was very panto like too.
The second half, apart from a couple of songs with dancers is just J&E performing, which, to be honest is all you need; they have so much charisma & stage presence, everyone else is superflous. The BB tour had dancers, (same ones ) maybe it was the small stage, unusal considering the size of the theatre itself, it felt & looked quite crammed at times so that it looked messy (1st half more so) and the choreography I didn't feel was as good as on the BB tour, that was amazing! both the dancers & J&E were superb. There is a lenghty sequence where they show the Harry Potter vid they did, ( not seen by us), and a dance by the troup, you think, J&E must be putting on some fancy outfit, but no, they just changed their jacket..lol so that again didn't flow.
Despite how it reads I had a great time, the new songs come over superb in concert, and there are several that could stand alone to be released as singles for the charts. What is lacking, in the show I saw, is the interaction of the twins with the audience, there was a little bit, and they read out posters ( they didn't on 1st night) When their first tour came out in April 2010 they didn't have so many set dances, so they had more opportunity to interact with fans, BB Tour had limited time too, but even more so I found with CT, although friends who saw it last night said it was different again; they are working what they can into the show adding things too, they had giant gold angel wings last night, and Ghostbusters on Monday, had no guns, so no water spraying, yet last night friends said they had guns and they were drenched. lol. So the show evolves every time.
I am going over to Ireland again next week, it will be interesting to see the differences they 've introduced. It's definately worth going to see, you have a brilliant time as always, singing and dancing along, but for me, it is not as good as the Bad Behaviour Tour show, partly due to the covers they sing this time too, and the lack of cohesion in the first half.

Thanks sally jeddi_oap for our update. I think we fans are feeling the transitions. Its weird . during the first tour we asked improvement and they have it already in Carnival tour.. but then we are missing something that was from the previous tour. (if that makes sense) Overall its enjoyable, i hope the audience interaction comes back coz thats' the twins signature .. and imperfection ... I still envy of everyone who has seen the carnival tour

Just to follow up.
I went back to Ireland to see the Wexford show ( show 5) and I can honestly say, it had improved 100000%, there was none of it I disliked. It was as if, the first two shows had been their dress rehersal, and there was no comparision ....totally awesome performances that just got better each time, as they threw in more and more things into their performance. The INEC at Killarney they were filmed throughout and they said it was going to be used as footage for their next single. I don't know how their last show tonight went, but Killarney on Saturday was amazing, with so much interaction between the audience and John & Edward.
The show on Sunday at Ballybunion was good fun, they were a little bit "naughty", pushing the limits, but the crowd loved them, they had such a fantastic receiption. The compere said, "Ballybunion has not seen anything like it", referring to the crowds. Even the security watched the show, blocking people's view in the process, as they crept right up to the stage edge, now that's a first!
I'm so glad I went back !!
I really hope they bring the Carnival Tour to the UK too !
