When Edward turns his camp on, people adore it. It's what makes him Edward. Gay/straight/bi/whatever, he is pretty f*cking spectacular. It's great that a 19 yo boy can be so comfortable in his own skin and not be afraid to be himself. Love Edward. Yes to all this ... f*cking spectacular and impossible to pin down ... I've never found the words for Edward, he is just 100% Edwardly all day every day ... " call me anything you want to baby "

After meeting with Edward so many times he seems more "normal" to me these days. Just like a regular 19 year old lad.

Edward is pretty fierce... and he knows it. He can be a bit of a bitch at times as well, sometimes more so than is neccessary, but tbh it's nice to hear at least one of them diverting away from the saccharine sweet over rehearsed and completely insincere answers they've started to fall in to from time to time.
He's on his own little planet. It's not even Planet Jedward. It's Planet Edward, haha. Even John doesn't seem to really have a clue what's going on in Edward's head at certain times.

Well God thanks neither is controlled by what people think of them. They are what they are — confident performers with golden stage presence. No one can manufacture stage presence and no one can teach it. They are both going to go the distance and will be around for years and years, because they're born performers. Who knows or cares if Edward's stage persona is 'feminine'? Aren't we in 2011 now or is the opening poster based in the 50s when homophobia was a religion? I don't know if Edward is gay or not. I don't know if he is using a 'feminine' guise to hide behind because he choses to not reveal who he is because he's in protection mode and uncomfortable with people knowing who he is yet, or if this is actually Edward. I know if I were out there on stage or screen I would prefer to not be open (I'm not talking about 'gay' open) to people seeing the 'real' me. BUT, if Edward is gay, why the my percieved disgust from the opening post at the very thought? What are people afraid of? Is it honestly so very scary? 'Frightening homosexuals changing the fabric of society wrecking homes and families'? I don't think so. I believe we've moved on since the 50s, no? Oddly enough I do — and have always believed – the Edward as he presents has been an act from the outset, as many old members of this forum know of me. And he uses a persona as protection. BUT, if he is gay it surely doesn't matter to me and I so wonder why it may matter to some: other than fan girls who dream of marrying him. I don't dream of marrying Edward as he definitely qualifies as being young enough to be my son. Why he is being picked on is beyond me. He is extremely sharp and intelligent — as is his twin brother. John knows their act is a success because of both of them. In my opinion, of the two, Edward is the better singer but John has more confidence — they are a perfect compliment to one another. Both actually CAN sing, but they BOTH bloody need singing lessons from a qualified teacher to beat it into them and much, much practice and rehearsal time which they haven't had because they've been full-on since they left that bloody XFactor show. Apparently, it was Edward who pushed for them to enter the XFactor. To avoid their Leaving Cert? Not sure — not sure if Edward knew he would pass with flying colours and leave John in his wake, or if I'm attributing Edward with more intelligence than John because, to my mind, Edward has more wit and therefore more intellect? I do think both highly intelligent because they are both flying high despite all the ridiculousnes accredited to them: dumber and dumber. They're not. They have intelligence and talent. Oh yes and another thing: quite apart from them being extraordinarily talented they're bloody gorgeous. Are they annoying? God, yes! Sometimes I could slap them, but for goodness' sakes they are 19 year's old and what 19 year-old wouldn't one as an adult of mature years want to (metaphorically) slap them for stupidity every now and again because of teenage thoughtlessness? I've thought about this post this evening: I'm a proud fan, btw.

I didn't know that being camp and feminine was considered to be an insult or a bad thing. Is it 1950 again? Luckily Edward is the twin who could really careless how others think of him and continues to be himself. If you don't like what he says or how he acts there is no need to insult him and call him retarded or what not because he obviously isn't. His honesty, snarkiness, and sometimes bitchiness is refreshing and some of his greatest qualities. Now shoo

He's most likely openly gay. A guy who would want to stay in the closet would probably try to hide his feminity. That's not the case with Edward.
I think a lot of people are angry with them. I sort of can understand the haters. John and Edward aren't great singers, they're album wasn't great but they brought so much fun to X Factor and I love watching them on Celebrity Juice. So they're awesome entertainers. Just not great singers.
I don't know about intelligent. Take the Jedwould/Jedwouldn't on Celebrity Juice for instance, they clearly didn't understand what it all was about. When showing pictures of women and men....

Edward is camp, you cant deny that, but thats a reason I love him? His camp dancing is one of the best things about him. His bitchy comments and jokes are another reason I like him.
I can see how people find either of them annoying tbh but only when you're not really a fan and just catch glimpses on TV.
Celeb Juice Jedwould- They werent asked that. It was edited together. When I saw them film it the second time they said to Leigh Francis that they saw the first ones so they knew what he was doing.

I'd actually seriously be ashamed to be such a homophobe, but especially considering you've decided Edward is gay when he hasn't ascribed himself as such. If he is, he isn't out yet. If he isn't, why the hell should he bother to denounce a group of people by shouting from the rooftops he isn't? Nicely enough, people aren't obliged to talk about their sexualities, nor are teenagers needing to be needled to appear in some kind of movie or something fornicating to show what they do in bed sexually. Weird to assume they need to brag what they wanna shag. Have you even contemplated they're not interested in answering you and you're extremely rude thoughts? What am I? Gay or straight or bi? Why does it even matter what John or Edward are? The few (or many) they're going to shag in their lifetime surely won't affect you at all? The laugh about all this is if they're reading they're having a load of fun over such ignorance and it keeps people chattering about John and Edward, Jedward. P.S. Not saying this subject isn't open to discussion, because it's bringing up thoughts which are dated and funny, actually seriously. ;D

Their first album was covers pushed out by Louis Walsh and nothing to do with them. Celebrity Juice was done quickly and their first foray into that genre of television. Shockingly, as 18 year-olds they didn't have a clue, yet provided great entertainment. One can see, as bubsycm said, they knew what they were doing for the second Celebrity Juice they were invited to appear on and well-paid for. Like a process of osmosis, they absorb and learn as they move on through the world of show business they've been welcomed into.

Well since he's extremely feminine and then I mean extremely, he's probably gay. Nothing homophobic about that. A straight guy just wouldn't act in such a way. Just a fact.
I'm sure most people think of him as being gay since he give out signals that he is. They're both 19 now, think about Justin Bieber who's 16 and all the hate he gets. There haven't been a single thread here that have analyzed Jedward as far as I'm concerned. Remember, they're not children, though I feel that most people treat them like children! It's disrespecting. Like on Gram Norton's show, could easily see that John wasn't happy with Graham not taking him seriously. When they choose to be in the spot light, they'll have to face discussion, opinions, haters, people talking sh^t about them. I have no intention to treat them like children like most do, it annoy the heck out of me.
Now, I only know about 1 person who's acted properly in front of the twins. Mr. Simon Cowell. I bet that many doesn't like him here but he was honest and at the same time tried to judge them.

Well since he's extremely feminine and then I mean extremely, he's probably gay. Nothing homophobic about that. A straight guy just wouldn't act in such a way. Just a fact. DAVID WALLIAMS MICHAEL MCINTYRE also, isn't the guy from Airplane straight too. I'm sure I've heard he is. Welcome to the 21st Century reptilian222. Assuming a guy is gay just because he's camp is like assuming a guy who acts manly is straight. It doesn't matter about sexuality at the end of the day. You're making it out that you hate him for that reason
