Its twelve months since John & Edward first came to our attention on the X Factor and a lot has happened in that time. Their hair style has brought them much attention in the press along with their formal style: jackets, suits and ties.
I think it is now time for a complete change especially if they are to appear on the X Factor singing an original song as rumour suggests.
What kind of new image going forward would you like to see?

Oh I like how they are.
But please boys... no more make up like the slap you had on the Late Late Show.

I think if they were to change things up, which they most likely won't, the Kai Z Feng photoshoot would be a pretty good template.
But as Jade says, no repeats of the KISS make-up.

I think they should have flat hair for the UK and Ireland as we all know who they are and revert to high for overseas visits as it does make them different. Esp high for Japan & the US

if they keep the quiffs, definatly should be cut and put in messy quiff rather than the point they look really good with it messy

I like discussing John and Edward's 'look' although gotta say I'd never try and tell them what they should do apart from bringing back red skinnies for the UK tour obviously so good in photos .... I loved the way they used the masks on late late show, and completely matter of fact, weren't even going to talk about it ... I've considered veiling or masking for a funeral and can guess in part at the motivation - but it was so showbiz and surprising ; I'd love to see John and Edward play around with the contrast of public, stage, private in their look - it's a theme I'm interested in so I'm being a bit self interested .... I agree with Fynn the high hair look is spectacular for getting noticed by press and fans. Its an essential part of the Jedward brand identification - looks good on stage - and it isn't stale yet. They will need an equally strong look to replace the high hair, or retirement from pop - so I don't believe its going to happen yet. I'm excited at the suggestion they will go to Japan and I predict they return with a trunk full of kimonos ... I can see kimonos working for them .... they've already looked at early 70s Bowie so this isn't a new concept btw

Basically I'm sick of seeing them in identical, badly-fitting, straight off the rack at RI/Topman outfits. It's stiff and predictable and most of the time doesn't flatter them particularly. I'm pretty bored with how they look atm I have to say. I'd like to see it really stripped back in private to see what sort of natural style they have. On stage, I'd just like to see much more imagination in the costumes. Something other than jacket/skinnies.

Probably my punishment for "borrowing it" ;D I'd quite like to see a more casual feel in their stage clothing, but that would be like so many others, and they prefer not to follow the crowd, so I feel they will stick to their jackets and skinnies for a while, but maybe with something more distinctive than just blazers, which happened to a degree on their last Irish tour eg, the one's used when performing the Lady Gaga song. As for their hair style, I prefer it down and all mushed up, but they are always saying they prefer if up for performing as with all the dancing and running about they do, it's basicaly, less sweaty for them.

It's been a while since we saw Edward's curly hair. I thought that always suited him slightly.

You 'borrowed' the courtesy guest kimono ?! I'd love to see them try out some more extreme stage looks - make up, wild costumes, strong gestures ....

Flat hair flat hair flat hair flat hair..... Just have it cut so they can have short messy quiffs back, and nice looking flat hair.
Also them not matching all the time - plus see them dress more topshop/river island and less butlins redcoat....

- short/ice cream quiff, casual/youngish clothing on tour like the one in the first irish tour. flat hair ok but not all the time so many are sporting that style, have you seen anyone do a quiff? its their trademark so they would keep it until they find a way to reinvent themselves.
it seems to me that they have a specific hairstyle for a specific job which is ok as they can keep the element of surprises.
i love them anyways - except hope that kiss make up is a one off LOLZ

Think it probably needs to happen sooner rather than later, their still considered so much of a joke, that a bit of an image change for the new year could really do them some good

I just love the fact that these boys style themselves. Everything they wear on stage they seem to buy (or even make) themselves. Everything you see has been them and you have to love that - though they get it wrong at times. 90% of the time they have it right
