I'm not sure if it's true but apparently some fans went and paparazzi followed the precession, which is terrible. Is this the reason for the lack of tweeting. They were very close. If so, thats terrible and my condolences are with them! Does anyone here know anything about it?

If it's true that fans went, then that's just sick. How do these people remember to breathe? Their brains clearly must be wired backwards or something. It's just common human decency to leave people alone in this kind of situation. Makes me rage so hard. <_<

He did die yes, that why they had to come back from the US early, the paps turned up but to the best of my knowledge no fans when to the funeral at all - just twatter rumours.

Did paps go yesterday as well or just to the removal ceremony on Wednesday?

Did paps go yesterday as well or just to the removal ceremony on Wednesday? I believe the only when to the removal it really would be very bad form in Ireland for paps to turn up at an actual funeral but of course i could be completely wrong

Horrible news.
I can't see any evidence that fans turned up, and if they did we certainly don't know that they made anyone aware of their presence or actually approached John and Edward. I mean, plenty of people go to funerals in Ireland that aren't family - politicians turn up all the time as a kind of "man of the people" tactic - so the presence of fans wouldn't make a huge difference as long as they just stayed quiet and respectful, didn't approach the family, and left at the appropriate time.
Having said that, the fact that the papparazzi were around to take pictures must have been inconceivably horrible for the boys. They've always been very open and friendly toward press attention, even the negative kind - I wonder if this will change their minds at all.
I do hope they're okay anyway. I know they really loved their grandfather and I'm sure they'll have a lot of support from their family. Really sad news.

This is just horrible. Don't Jedward give the papers enough?! They always do photoshoots and pose for paps pics at events. Its is horrifying they would turn up at such a heartbreaking moment for them. We all know they really loved him, they even gave him that shout out on Sky news. The poor guys!

Yeah Someone said on twitter that 6 'fans' went to the funeral but didn't speak to the twins, could be a rumor though.

I feel so sorry for them and their family, we all knew how close they were. That pic is so sad, I hate to see them upset.

While I wouldn't do it myself, it doesn't really sound like they caused any harm by simply being there. As long as the fans weren't wearing bright sparkly Jedward t-shirts, I'm sure everyone in the family had far more on their minds than the quiet presence of some people they didn't know.
