Ed is a git... John is tolerant of it - joking okay.
I love Ed but yeah - he gets over excited it seems. John's calmness evens it out.

I like the idea that they're the one person who can always tolerate the other: when John's being a pill Edward puts up with it and vice versa.
And although I'd absolutely love to see more of them just interacting as themselves (because to me that's part of what is so intriguing about them) I guess the producers have to pitch the show somewhere between fans, people who are ambivalent, and haters. So there needs to be some kind of structure so people outside the fandom can follow what the feck is going on. But they need to release all the extra footage, their must be some absolute gold there.
And I love Leem! I think it's necessary to have that anchor of normality, and imo he does it with humour and good nature. But of course I'm a Liam lover.

They're a unit, and are complete and completely themselves around each other, I would LOVE someone I could be so unconditionally close to.

Their relationship is undeniably adorbs (like when John started cleaning Edwards face on Alan Carr! Bless!) but I find it relly interesting to watch how they act to each other on JLL!

I think I saw Kola remark lately that Liam is there as 'planetearth' to their 'planetjedward'. I agree with that and I think it's necessary for him(or someone) to be there cause otherwise they are without context in a way. Lol, late to the party, but yeah I said that after everyone seemed to be moaning at the amount of Leem in last weeks episode. I reckon it was *supposed* to just be John and Edward in the flat, with everyone else included when they turned up to take them to work etc. But then Edward hurt his leg and they had no choice but to bring Liam to live in the flat and take some of the pressure off John. It changes the dynamic of the show slightly, but not massively imo. I agree, he does give them a context. You still get to see that John is more sensible than Edward, but you add Liam in and you get to see that John is still completely mental as well. I think if John had been left as the responsible one, he might not have relaxed as much and we might have seen a very different side to him and the show could have become "Edward is a brat while John does the boring stuff" Having Liam there we get to see someone actually in the scene asking them why they do certain things and if they realise their decisions are odd. The whole Ikea thing would have been a bit flat I think if it just involved those two running around and picking up stuff they didn't need. You kinda needed him there nagging them to be sensible, just to get the angle that they don't listen to what anyone says anyway. I kinda think the show needed an outsider in it to show their twin bond and their relationship and how noone fully understands them except each other, people just accept them for what they are, even the ones who have to work with them.

I agree with Kolakube. Also I wasn't sure what I thought of Liam until I watched the show and because of it I like him. I also think he can be pretty funny at times.

Someone should make a pop-science programme and get them to do psychology questionnaires, separately and stuff! Go into more depth about their twin experiences and ask them about each other. Tbh I've always wanted to see them interviewed more by themselves, see how they act without the other there...

He seems to joke most of the time. And John is a genius at avoiding questions entirely. I don't think it would work - an interview like that. Are they capable of being serious?

That could be part of the experiment, seeing if it would work at all!

that would be kinda interesting actually. the twins from madina lake have done something like this before and it was pretty cool to see how they answer similar questions. like some answers were very similar, almost word for word identical but others were totally different so it would be pretty cool to see what john and edwards answers would be like.
