I met up with River Tam (Katharine) at Cork airport and took her to Killarney, we saw all 4 shows. Her wheelchair spot was fantastic.....right at the front, I'd never been so close to the stage on their actual tour.... it's great to watch their interaction with the crowds from there. Matinee first day, the atmosphere was a little subdued as due to late additon, and little promotion of this show, the theatre was only 1/3 full, mainly young kids with parents, so when John jumped off the stage he ran all round the theatre, lol, the little kids couldn't keep up with him, and I don't think security even bothered to stop him. Katharine & I were dancing away all the time, she even got up for a couple of songs and put me to shame with her moves. Why were most of the others sitting down? - we oldies don't flag like the kiddies...hahaha Evening show met up with some Irish friends from last April which was great; the atmosphere was quite different, noisy with more audience participation, which in turn energized John & Edward, you could see the difference from the matinee, they just love the audience interaction. Matinee next day, the hall was full, so the atmosphere was different again, as was the final evening show. I love their sheer exuberance when they perform, its so infectious, you come away from a show on such a high. I was a little surprized the backing track was so loud on the first couple of songs, but as Jane said, it allows them to have free range with their dance moves instead, Edward especially in Bad Romance, loves doing his own thing lol.
Like Jane says, each show is different. Loved every second of them, the back stage chats, the improvs on stage, the acapella (sp) section, proving beyond doubt how great they are at harmonizing, the dance moves...I could go on. They are just born to perform.
Re : UK tour I really hope they change the sound level of the first couple of songs, if they do the same routines, for no other reason than to halt the doubters / haters in their tracks. They are just waiting to punce and condem the boys for lack of talent etc........ if they hear these two loud they'll just write nothing but words of condemnation without giving them a chance, and I don't want that to happen. We all know how good they are, we want everyone else to know too!

Letterkenny and Derry done, just Belfast to go Letterkenny saw John well on form, he was brilliant, Edward was a bit subdued and not as happy as John. They made us sit down and it was stupid so we went on strike, within half a song John told us all to stand up. Everyone that was waiting outside the venue all day all got in to the meet and greet apparently. Derry today was nice little theatre. Bur Derry, um, yeah. Rough. The little chavs all turned up in force to abuse us. By the time they started throwing shit at us including lit cigarettes I'd had enough and called the police, who were excellent. There in minutes. Sorted it for when the boys arrived, altho they kids still hurled verbal abuse, boys won't have noticed, too much screaming by the tweenies. John was gonna come over but the running screamers freaked security again and they dragged them in. When will people realise that they will not be allowed to stay out if people run and scream and grab them *sigh* Aiken said cos of all the shit there'd be no meet and greet so the boys decided to play out the windows with us instead. Very very very funny and better than a m&g any day. How Ed didn't drop the mac out I'll never know trying to take pics. By then a big group of haters had arrived, all alt/rock/emo/scene kids. John saw them all giving him the finger and decided to play. He was blowing them kisses, doing the love heart, thumbs up etc, then he pretended to start crying and slitting his wrists. He snuck in giving them the finger and wanker sign too! It was all quite good natured. All the Jed fans started singing, esp Blink, to annoy the rockers, which was when he was tweeting go team jedward etc cos we were winning. Then he took photos of couple of them mooning. It was all very funny and pretty good natured tbh. Much better than the nasty little kids earlier who were not nice. Gig much better tonight, Edward back on form. Jim was back from the Rod Stewart tour so at last someone from Aiken who smiled and had a laugh with us. The boys squirted him in ghostbusters. And us as usual. Ed was lying down behind his podium, I didn't notice. I was laughing at Jane behind me shooting him, turned round and got a direct hit right in the face from him, sneaky. Am uploading Teenage Kicks vid at the mo (had to do that one in Derry) and a silly bit where they were doing each others hair and giving hairspray out. Net connection v slow tho. We drove to Belfast after the gig and are here ready for tomorrow. Can't believe it's last night already again

Hollie videod the stuff with John giving back to the haters. She should be back home tomorrow or day after to upload it. Boys came out to sign at the venue before the show with their hair down, thy look sooooo much better. Loads of fans we knew there tonight, lots of UK fans over, Lots of S Ireland fans up, lovely to see everyone for the last night. I was well tipsy for tonight, only way to get through last night of tour. It was rushed and they did nothing special for the last night, but I enjoyed it cos we danced like idiots a lot and legged it down the front near the end, Jim let us off and we stayed down there. John ended up on a seat in the crowd to do some of atst and was totally surrounded but security chilled and let him stay there which was nice. Here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi6jADRu4RkGhostbusters was hilarious cos it got soooooo wet on stage they couldn't do anything without slipping, they couldn't get up the ramps, it was like it's a knock out. I cried laughing at them.

How much do they interact with the front row people? x Loads, they high five you and squirt you with the guns in ghostbusters all the time, take presents and fan mail off you at the end if you're down there etc. Sometimes they nick your cameras and take pics of themselves on stage.
