The focus definitely seems to be on the Irish market. There doesn't seem to be much of a push in the UK. I know it'll do well here but I'd love to see it do well in the UK as well.

It might make a surge-stranger things have happened, or it could climb the charts in later weeks, esp when the tv show comes on.

They really do seem to be focusing on the irish market :/ like, on their website the all the small things uk release hasn't even been announced on there.. I want the single/album to do well here too but how can it if there is hardly any promo!?

I'm thinking it's out now for us fans, but the big promo push will happen with the TV show - it would make much more sense.

REASONS TO BE HOPEFUL: J+E at no 10 in HMV album chart pre-order in UK (via soxpatch) That's gotta be good right?

REASONS TO BE HOPEFUL: J+E at no 10 in HMV album chart pre-order in UK (via soxpatch) That's gotta be good right? Yup! The album will do AMAZINGLY in Ireland, I know that. A surefire #1, no doubt about it. And with amazing sales, too! I also feel that its UK sales will be quite decent – and in the end it's the album sales that matter. Their label will rather see that someone shelled out 9.99 than just 0.99, right? I am confident that the album will do quite well and am so happy about that!!!

"already certified gold" (from planetjedward.net) how many copies would it have to have sold to get that

Gold is 7,500 copies, Platinum is 15,000. So anywhere between 7,500 and 15,000. Also, not only did 'Planet Jedward' occupy the no. 1 position on the Irish charts, BUT it has also achieved the status as the fastest-selling artist album in Ireland since U2’s 'No Line On the Horizon' back in March 2009 – and the fastest-selling debut by an Irish artist since Westlife’s self-titled first album in 1999. Just how jepic is that?
