If you want to buy the album or the song multiple times, don’t buy it from the same shop, i.e. if you want to buy 6 copies, buy one from iTunes, one from 7Digital, one from Play, one from HMV, one from Amazon, and one from Tesco. If you get the album or the song 6 times into your shopping cart in the same shop, it will only count as one sale and you will have wasted your money. Apparently, one can buy up to 3 copies of a song at the same on-line store with the same account and it would still count. The OCC's rules are set against multiple purchases in case someone buys dozens copies for himself. As long as you buy up to 3 copies for yourself, it won't get disqualified, i.e. the 3 copies won't be annulled!

At the moment we do not know whether the single will consist of merely one version of the song or more versions (like B-side, radio edit, single edit, remixes, karaoke version, etc.). In case there will be more digital versions available, make sure you download each version separately. According to the Official Chart rules, if you buy the digital bundle together, it counts as one purchase. If you buy every version in the digital bundle separately, every purchase counts separately and contributes to the Chart several times.

Same applies for physical CD's. If you're planning to buy multiple CD's (whether on-line or in traditional stores), buy them separately, i.e. not in the same transaction. If you order 5 CD albums on-line and put them in your shopping cart at once and buy them in one transaction, it will count only as one sale. If you’re buying several CD’s on-line, then buy them in different on-line stores. If you’re buying CD’s in traditional stores, just make sure you don’t buy several copies in one transaction (i.e. one credit card transaction, one receipt transaction).

iTunes* allow you to gift a song to anyone who uses iTunes and is using an iTunes account in the same country as you are. You can gift as many copies as you want to, to as many people as you want. (Don't gift the same person twice, though. It would be useless.) And it counts for the charts!

Know someone who uses iTunes? Have a sister/brother/mother/father/son/daughter/friend/anyone who'd like a smashing new song in their iTunes library? Gift them Jedward!

How to gift? See the pictures below and gift away!

You can gift foreign fans, too! Want to gift someone from abroad and make it count towards the charts? They simply need to have a UK/Irish based iTunes account. (Gifts from UK accounts to UK accounts will count towards the UK chart, gifts from Irish accounts to Irish accounts will count towards the Irish chart.)

This can be used by foreign fans as well as UK/Irish fans.

Want to have a UK/Irish iTunes account? This way some good soul from the UK/Ireland could gift you the Jedward track without you having to have a credit card with a UK/Irish billing address. Also, even if you're from the UK/Ireland,you can create multiple accounts and basically gift yourself (i.e. your alias ''fake' account.)

Follow these steps. (For larger picture simply click on the thumbnail.)

1. Make sure you're logged out of iTunes.


2. Choose the country of your choice. If you want a UK account, choose UK. If an Irish account, choose Ireland. Gifting can be done only within the same country account. (I.e. someone from UK can only gift someone with a UK iTunes account.)


3. Search for a free application. I searched for 'jedward' and a free X-mas Jedward application was available. Click on 'Get App'.


4. iTunes will ask you to sign in. It's vital you click on 'Create new account'.


5. Click 'Continue'.


6. Tick the box and click 'Continue'.


7. Fill out your e-mail address (a different one to the one you're already using with iTunes on your existing account!), your desired password (2x), a random question and an answer, a random birthday date, and click 'Continue'.


8. As a payment method choose 'None'. (The application is after all a free one.) Leave the gift code thing alone.


9. Enter a fake name, fake address and fake telephone number. How to get all that from the UK/Ireland? A name can be totally made-up, as for the address I simply googled "hostel dublin", chose one, and found a contact address and phone on their website. Same goes for UK. Click 'Continue'.


10. That's it. iTunes will send you an e-mail to the e-address you provided, you simply have to verify your new account by clicking the link provided in their email. Congrats, you have a brand new UK/Irish iTunes account.
