I think people need to step out of the Jedward bubble for a moment and think about it as a non-jedward fan.
We need to be honest with ourselves. As Jedward fans, of course we'll love it but J&E also need to expand their fanbase which this song won't do.

Jade hat do you think they could do then? I'd like something new with maybe a bit of old put in. If not, a pop cover would be great instead of a rock one. I think "Pop Musik" or maybe even "I want Candy" would have been better.

As pop covers those songs won't get as much hate as All the Small Things - a rock cover I've tried explaining on my FS if you wanna see www.formspring.me/jadehill2001

ATST is a vaguely punk-inspired pop song. It's got a really radio friendly/pop sound. I don't expect any great backlash. It's not like Blink are musical giants on the scale of Mercury/Bowie, who are sacred cows to music fans. Yeah, Blink fans will be upset but that's about it... Pop Musik/Break My Stride/I Want Candy etc.. just have a novelty record sound to me. I think ATST is a fantastic pop song and in the absense of a quality oringinal song, it's the next best thing.

Jade is right, as jedward fans we'd buy the single regardless! but another cover won't go down too well with the rest of the buying public. They'll be slated by the critics and they'll probably get zero radio play, so there's not much hope of non jedward fans buying the new single which is so relevant for their new album. Having another cover after their last single just screams at everyone that their album is a medley of covers!. I had hoped for a poppy original song, they deserve no less!. I'm not pleased that their next single is another cover, infact i'm disappointed even though 'All the Small Things' is an alright song but at the end of the day, its just another cover......

If Blink are rock, I'm the Queen. Just cos a band has guitars does NOT make them rock in my world! Agree with ferdydurke, perfect pop that is radio friendly without some stupid gimmick.
Perfect pop choice for summer, not some horrible dated cover by artsists like loads of fans seem to insist on them doing, or a collaboration with someone embarrassing, which will only carry on the haters' perception of them as only capable of covering cheesy shit. This, if done right, will win over new fans easily cos it's a fking great catchy song and actually not that well known to the mainstream. Was always my no 1 choice, I'm thrilled and can't wait.
And the publicity that Blink will get for this this summer... as they make their come back?? Give you three guesses who their publishing company might be, In fact you should only need one. Yes Universal. This is how the music business works, you keep the money in your own family of artists and double promote in one go. Genius.

I thin Ben's right. No matter what they do, haters are gonna hate. The Unicorn is Edward just in case you're wondering.

The one thing that worries me is if Nigel 'Over the Rainbow' Wright is the producer on this. UP/IIB style production would absolutely kill all that is good about this song.

Remains to be seen.

It stood out a mile in the lives shows, you can see they love doing it, that style of music sooo suits them more, so many people said that on the dates. I'm gonna stick my neck out and say it'll be a smash.

I'm gonna stick my neck out and say it'll be a smash. I think the boys are naturally suited to this kind of music. They seem to love performing it. They have the right vibe and energy. Busted and Metrostation seem to be groups they like, and both of those are basically Blink spin-offs...and they would be beyond amazing at writing the kind of eccentric/funny lyrics of pop punk
