The Clacton tickets have a clause on the back of the ticket that says they reserve the right to change the line-up. I'm challenging this though as you only see this after they send the ticket... there are no terms and conditions in advance because the tickets were sold over the phone and not online. They also still have Jedward on the website at the mo, so I've asked trading standards if we have any rights to refunds. Doubt we will, but worth an ask.

Sounds harsh but at the moment I hope they are cancelled cos who's gonna look like the bad guys if they aren't? Yep...
I'm gonna be soo annoyed.
And we got an email from the bloody organiser of the blackpool thing asking if we have cancelled... erm..

The weekly xfactor tie ins do look odd in the context of the bigger picture for John and Edward, so we are well advised to approach with caution. We'll all be happier if Blackpool does happen I'm sure

Anyway, now I've booked I'd rather have it in my mind that they might not be there then I can make up my own mind whether to still go or not. There was nothing worse than the feeling I had when I got to Coventry only to find they'd cancelled that evening. That was tough to take in.

Advice from consumer protection about Clacton who STILL have a pic of J&E on the front page today.
"I am sorry to hear you are having this problem and I can understand the concerns you are having. When you agree to a contract over the phone for this sort of occasion the contract is subject to terms and conditions, it is the consumers responsibility to check the terms and conditions and ask for a copy of these or at least that they are read to you before agreeing to the contract. You can try and argue that the advertising is misleading, I would suggest you write to the trader, keeping a copy of the letter and getting a proof of postage, requesting a refund as you feel you were mislead into the contract and this is a significant change to the contract. It is advisable to request a response within 14 days. I would like to pass the details on to Trading Standards for their information please can you provide your address as I would need to pass the details to your local Trading Standards. I hope this helps the situation and if you need any further advice please contact us. If you require any further advice or information about this case, please do not hesitate to contact Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 quoting the case reference number."
