The page this event was on has dissapeared so either: The gig has been cancelled completely or they're changing the line up. However, someone on twitter has said that their friend has bought a M&G ticket to see them. Again however, M&G tickets weren't available so they may be a new addition to the whole thing.
This is so confusing :s

Well they have now put the big promo pages back up on the website today, with J&E as the main draw, and I just called the venue and they say yes they are still definitely doing it!!

Who did you speak to? And did you ask them how they intend to perform in Clacton on Sea, Essex when they're playing a concert at Croke Park Ireland that very same evening? It's a £15 gig, I doubt the Venue is gonna pay to bring them over by plane? Croke Park is only a supporting thing for the boys isn't it? - three songs then they'll be off to the UK for this. That's what I would have thought anyways

I was just looking at flight times etc. and say if they went on stage at 5pm in Croke Park and did a few songs then they could catch the 6.35pm flight to Stansted which arrives at around 7.50pm. Then its about an hours drive to Clacton. So they could possibly arrive there for around 9pm but that would be cutting it pretty close and hoping for no delays.
Maybe they are due to be in the UK anyway a few days after the Clacton gig so it makes sense for them to make it.

It's a £15 gig, I doubt the Venue is gonna pay to bring them over by plane? When they very first announced this of course it was the first thing I pointed out to the venue, I'm not stupid, and they were clear then that the boys had signed a contract and were expected to be performing and would fly over. There are flights that mean they can make it, why on earth would they need a private one? The venue confirmed again this morning that they were still scheduled to perform. I'm only telling you what the venue have told me. This was probably signed before they got the Westlife support and they don't wanna break the contract so maybe will find a way to do it. The venue obv think they still are and are expecting them to. Whether it will actually pan out is debatable looking at past cancellations, but until we hear otherwise form either the Jed camp or the venue it is still allegedly happening. The fact that the website has been re-vamped to have Jed looking like the top act would mean they could go on last, buying them more time to get there too. It'll probably all go tits up at the last minute of course. We shall see.

Latest update... they don't know if it's happening or not! Anto was literally just on the phone about it in Galway when I asked him about it (cue scary coincidence music), talking to the guy at the venue, so it's still up in the air. Watch this space...

i have no idea if his will happen or not but i must say i cannot think of a bigger comedown to play Croke Park and then be hustled off before seeing JLS or Westlife to play some club in Clacton.
Actually thinking about it there is no way that can do both they wont make the 1835 flight and anything will leave them in quite late, i would think hard before spending out too much cash on this one.

I'd believe it - it was never a sure thing they'd do it what with Croke Park and all.
