I dont think Ed is more photogenic I believe photographers have been favouring John a lot more recently one of the best examples beingthe ID mag shoot. Next also have 2 solo photos of John on the website John's profile is 10x better than Ed's IMO Yeah in the cd booklet of the album there's 2 big images of John and none of Edward. John just has spectacular symmetry and that side profile... I think the artist mixed the two up in that booklet because the one of John in the black isn't a very good picture at all. Not compared to the one of Ed sat down which is so gorgeous - it should be a crime that they printed it that small.

They are both stunning but if they are sent to casting as individuals rather than The Jeds as Next have named them John will wipe the floor with Edward IMO

Poor Edward. It's awful to think that one twin would get more work than the other. I think Ed would get a lot of photo work though. He's a pretty boy.

I know it so difficult isnt it but your right he is a very pretty boy and he will get loads of offers - whether they will have anything to do with modeling is anyone guess ;D

Was trying to think of a picture where Edward really works it model wise and then I remembered my fave pic of the twins ever... It's old but look how pretty Edward looks in it. Love it and always will.

I would imagine they got put in the book with the understanding they could do it, then got no castings, so organised the LA trip instead?? Either that, or something is organised for Wednesday, and they're coming back from LA on Tuesday? Yeah...I'm pretty baffled tbh. I mean, Ed clearly wasn't going to be able to do any casting at all. John was free to go but obviously didn't cause we're pretty sure he's been in Ireland for the past week, right? So it seems they never even saw a casting director?!! I just don't know why they were put in the showbook. I've always though John has a more model-like, though I think Ed gets the 'cute' vote from most fans! He's got that lovely symmetry, great lips, jawline, wide-set eyes. He photographs the more striking of the two of them. I think the Next portfolio reflects that. It's bizarre but I feel kind of robbed now that I know they're not doing anything for lfw! (or at least not doing anything much)

Love it and always will. About the 'pretty' aspect, I want to see pretty in Grazia but I don't want to see it in Vogue, if that makes any sense?! High fashion faces should be startling. Too many people are pretty. It's not inspiring. So I hate to see a Cheryl Cole on the cover of Vogue. I don't care how pretty people think she is. She doesn't have an interesting face - just a pretty face. I'm not entirely convinced that either John or Edward could work in high fashion...

However at least they are going to LA and not just sitting on their arses in Lucan oooh Jedward just namechecked on Mock the Week

Cheryl Cole herself is on the cover of Vogue this month they have for the past few years increasingly used pop stars/film stars. I do agree with you about High Fashion but I think John could pull it off i think his face/body is suited to it better than Edward

Just horrendous. I think the tide has turned a lot in the last year though. That Gaga cover/Jo Calderone/Nick Knight spread in Vogue Hommes could be the last straw. It just wasn't worthy of making the cover - celeb or not. I think people in fashion are fed up of it by now. The covers with celebs on just never look good enough. (with the exception of Marion Cotillard!) That's quite hypocritical of me since I'd happily see J&E on the cover of Vogue!

I always used to think Edward was the more photogenic - but I increasingly think now that his features are actually slightly weaker than John's. That works in his favour sometimes, because it gives his face a really nice delicate look about it, but John's profile is certainly a lot stronger and his features are just slightly more on the interesting side of pretty. Obviously this is just my opinion.
Devo'd they won't be casting for LFW. This doesn't seem to make any sense whatsoever. The best explanation I can see is that Next for some reason want to set themselves up as novelty celeb agency, which I somehow doubt very much...
Ferdyduke, I totes agree about the proliferance of average, pretty faces on high-fashion magazines. I don't buy Vogue to see Cheryl Cole, I can see her on the cover of every other magazine on the stand. I wish they'd use models instead. Or Jedward, you know, wevs.
I like to imagine that John could work in high fashion simply because I think he's got the killer combo of intriguing looks and a charmingly strange personality. He might not make it as a straight-up model because of his height, but one or several photographers or designers could quite easily fall for him and take him under their wing. Like Sophie Dahl and Isabella Blow, but somewhat less ground-breaking.
But I don't think that's where his interest lies, and I really doubt if either of the twins are even remotely contemplating pursuing solo careers in the future. Still, I can dream.

If they were to go after a career in modeling seriously then they would need to be available pretty much all of February/March, September/October as well as some of January and June and that would be just for runway...not even taking into a/c print campaigns/spreads. It's a full time career easily on it's own and it has an inflexible schedule so either you can turn up when required or you don't work! I honestly see them doing occasional guest appearances and the occasional magazine spread or maybe even a print campaign at some stage but I can't really see how the modeling can be worked around all their other 'careers'!

What follows is extremely cynical.
But depending on how long all their other careers actually last, they might end up with plenty of time on their hands for modelling. The album sold reasonably well, but I really don't think they can rely on novelty and good looks to sell another covers record. As for TV, I'm not sure they have the temperament for presenting. They could be actors I guess - to be fair, we can't really know yet - but they're either going to get cast separately or not at all.
I feel depressed now. But the truth is, I've long suspected their management are interested in making the fastest money possible out of Jedward, and if that's the case, they might be wise to think about modelling as an alternative.
