Claire, Firstblush and Leeloo gave them presents and they accepted them. It wasn't an orderly queue so be prepared for that. At Bradford only Gold ticket holders got to meet them but it didn't stop others from trying to get through. You could see what was going on because they were on a small balcony and they kept coming to the side to wave to us all - it'll depend on the venue. For some reason Bradford had the m+g next to the dance floor so the music was well loud. We had to shout. I found it quite stressful tbh, most of the audience was drunk and pushing to the front of the queue even though they didn't have gold VIP bands. Then they were hassling security-I had to be pretty assertive to claim my slot although having said that security were quick to spot I was a quiet polite person once I got to the front of the line. Very little time with the twins and a pushy photographer distracting us into the bargain. I think the whole pushy shovey atmosphere contributed to my extreme shyness when I finally got there, ho hum here's for better in Coventry

They vary some venues like southampton, will be very organised, but others like chelmsford will be horrid, me and my friend nearly got stamped to the floor amidst people going for an m&g.

Thanks for the info you guys.
Don't you run the risk of them packing up and going if you hang back though? Has this actually happened yet?
ps Oh and hollyyy you were in my dream the other night with J&E. I've put it on the Dream thread (page 11 or 12 I think! ;D

I've met them twice in Liverpool and Huddersfield, and Liverpool was so much better! For starters when John and Edward were performing no one pushed at all in Liverpool, but in Huddersfield I was like squashed against a barrier all night and people standing on you etc lol! :/ But for the meet and greet in Liverpool they told everyone who didn't have a meet and greet ticket to go out the building lol then everyone was took to this VIP room and about 5 at a time were taken out of the room to go and queue to meet them in another little room was so nice! But in huddersfield there was just a stampeed at the meet and greet lol and no one knew what they were doing :/ The photogragher was so annoying cos he didn't actually warn us when he was taking a picture lol and the music was really loud so me and edward ha to shout when we were standing right next to each other lol but was still a brill night hehe.

Yorkshire really isn't getting a good rep for these meet and greets LOL. First the water bottles at Barnsley and then the hideousness that was Huddersfield and Bradford. I doubt the poor boys will ever come back

Hopefully, the one I go to will be like the one at liverpool haha, but I can see the people with the other £15 tickets starting because they don't get meet and greet too.. Do they only let the people with m+g tickets in? I've seen people saying on twitter saying they are guna try and get in, I'll be pissed if they let them lmao!

They're all different and it totally depends on a combination of the venue, the staff, the inhouse photographer and pics policy, and the punters. There's no rhyme or reeason or pattern to it that I can see. Some limit numbers of m+g tickets, some have a free for all on the night. I think we've just been on a bad run with the 3 shit Tokyo venues recently combined with new security to make things not quite as much fun as the first couple I did.
I've only done 5, the cheapest two were the best at £5 and £6.99 where everyone who wanted to meet them did in an orderly queue, lovely photographer, got ages with them. The worst were the most expensive (£15), pushing and shoving and no ordered queues and heavy handed security pushing you on before you could say bugger all.
I guess it's just pot luck on the night how it is.
If there is a specific different price ticket for meet and greet, then they'll let all those in first. Recently that's been it, no-one else I don't think. But some places do them first and then if the boys want to carry on, then let the non VIPs too. I guess that's getting less as they get busier and have to be up next day for tv and stuff.
Every venue is so different, some places love them and they could sign all night, some are half and half. Again, doesn't seem any pattern to it.

i think it all depends on the security OF THE VENUE and the staff!..
Some have been good whilst others not so good where the club security are clearly morons...

As Smileyjeddi said earlier, our first time at a M & G was at Oceana - Southampton. Very well organized, just let you in two or three at a time (your group) in a separate side room, no noise, just the twins, their Dad, and I think , possibly, his brother ( they looked alike, and he was Irish too) plus the photographer. You could chat, take pictures etc; and as we are a couple of oldies, lol, we seemed to have quite a bit of time with them. I'd never done anything like it before, in my life, and it was great. Hoping it's the same at Coventry, as I'm organized this time, I only knew I was going 2 days before, so didn't have time to get a T shirt or poster made to be signed. Fingers crossed for this Wednesday
