Rufus Wainwright is my number one favourite artist ever! Mine too! He's sooo talented and very much underrated. I'm glad another John and Edward fan loves Rufus too ;D I met him once after one of his shows, he's the nicest person ever. Boys should sing Instant Pleasure

Can you imagine? Rufus is doing a a UK and Irish tour in April if you're interested, new album in the Spring. Just got my tickets for the Dublin gig this morning. I've seen him 5 times over the years and flew to Manchester specifically to see his opera Prima Donna last July. I have never met him though, God i would love to meet him. I'm such a huge fan of his music, it really, really resonates with me. Were you chatting to him for long?

I'd love to see him live again. I have a friend in Ireland, mayble I should pay her a visit in April How was the opera? I saw him perform twice, both small gigs, just him with the piano and guitar, but still awesome. Many people were waiting for him after the show, I just stood to the side. When he went out they surroounded him, and it was dark, so he wanted to move closer to the light. Guess who was standing all alone right next to the only light that was there So he came up to me, smiled, signed my cd while everyone else was surrounding us, I told him he should come to Poland (we were in the US), he laughed and said he'd love to but definitely not in winter. I told him it's not THAT cold he gave me a huge smile and that was it. Pretty boring I guess but I enjoyed every second of it of course

I told him it's not THAT cold he gave me a huge smile and that was it. Pretty boring I guess but I enjoyed every second of it of course Oh wow, that sounds really cool! He has so much time for his fans. This is the only claim to fame I have with him (nowhere near as good as yours)....I saw him a couple of years ago in Dublin, but I was sitting in the front row, right in front of the stage and when he came on stage I was just smiling from ear to ear ( I didn't realise that I was). After the second song he looked down at me and said "Ladies and gentleman, there's a girl in the front row and I think she's going to die from smiling" And then he turned to me and said" You were expecting someone else to come on stage, weren't you honey?" It was a small thing but he noticed me, and talked to me on stage, it made my night! Prima Donna looked amazing, the stage production was gorgeous, as was the lighting design, and the costumes were INCREDIBLE. I thought the 1st act was ok, but the 2nd act was very good, there was more melody to it. The plot had plenty of Rufus humour. Sorry for the rambling, I could talk about him all day long.

I love Miles Davis, jazz from the 50s. Kind of Blue is my all time favourite album. I like funky guitar music too - Dave Matthews, Jimi Hendrix sometimes. I used to be in love with John Mayer but went off him when he started dating Jen Aniston for some strange reason. I don't have anything against her - it just made me instantly go off him!! Oh, and I think REM, U2 and Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder are incredible It's really interesting to see how varied are the musical tastes of j&e supporters, and a little unexpected!

Miles Davis to John and Edward, that is a quantum leap I like jazz too, I went to see Herbie Hancock in Cork last year, he was great. Do you like The Bad Plus? I'm a big Stevie Wonder fan too.... God I'm really coming off as a tedious musical bore now, I'll stop.

God I'm really coming off as a tedious musical bore now, I'll stop. Miles Davis and j&e are both cool in their own unique, trailblazing way - that's what cool is all about, imo ;D I would love to have seen Hancock in Cork. I haven't been to the jazz festival there in four years The Bad Plus - I didn't know them! I've just checked out some of their stuff. I'm in two minds just now. Not sure if I like it. I'll have to listen to some more And if I had an Ally McBeal style them tune to my life it would be Sir Duke. Stevie Wonder is king ;D
