The book was done in a rush to sell to kids who lets face it - are very fickle. One day they love Jedward then they like The Wanted.
It shouldn't even be called "official" really.

He's not being a diva. He just knows what he wants. Must be irritating having your career run by other people. People that are doing what you don't even want. Yes that and also I think he just wants the fans to have the best things possible, John too. Also it would be annoying to have something you don't like have your name on it.

John seems to stay quiet though. Edward doesn't. Especially if asked outright

John seems to stay quiet though. Edward doesn't. Especially if asked outright john i think is the sensitive one towards others' feeling maybe. edward can be very sweet and "outright" on a same level if wants to ;D anyways i love john and edward because of their humble beginnings and down to earth attitude. edward always have that sweetest loving smile and john, i really like his imperfection in general.

hummm ... I'm not going to buy it although I do want to read the running bits, but I can't decide whether to get my public library to buy a copy, or to read the bits I want in the bookshop when I'm passing And kudos to Edward for saying it how he feels it ... its one of his most attractive qualities

Hi everyone:
Just a summary for you:
It definitely is not worth the £12.99 it's being sold for at Waterstones!
Basically, it just tells you their story of being on the X factor and the things they did after it, all of which we already know from YouTube and our own memories. The first few chapters talk about their lives as children and their running. The twins are quoted for the most part, but its very basic and obvious things. We don't find out anything substantial about their lives. I'm assuming they were not comfortable in discussing their home lives in detail and the bullying in school, which is fair enough I guess. But all that is left then, is very fluffy information. We don't even find out anything about their experiences as twins and their thoughts on each other. The running chapter was slightly more informative though. We do also find out some of the things they did to try and get noticed in their quest for fame.
After that, it just tells us about their journey through the X factor. It mentions all of their performances, the judges' comments and the reactions. The rest of the book continues in the same vein, chronicaling their various appearances and visits, most of which is already known. It does talk a bit about their lives on the road, but again, its flimsy.
On top of that, its so badly written. I honestly think I could have penned it better myself. The writer is mediocre at best, incredibly ill- informed and its full of mistakes. The other thing that annoyed me was how inaccurate the quotes were. Even something as simple as quoting the judges' comments was incorrect. All she had to do was watch the show back! How hard is that? She also confuses the boys several times.
If you're writing a biography of someone, surely you need to spend time with that person and gain an insight into them. You certainly wouldn't be in danger of mistaking the twins for each other!
To me, its just a fluff piece written by a tabloid journalist, not a serious biography. We learn close to nothing, except poor writting skills.
If people want to buy it, of course, its up to them. The pictures are good quality and if you just want to have all the basic information handy, its the right book!
So overall, its an ok book, but not worth the amount it is being sold for.

I started reading it yesterday and it is good. The bits before the XFactor are dead interesting. I knew the boys craved a lot but didn't know that they made the rounds actually trying to get noticed themselves. God bless 'em.
If anything the book makes you love them more - if that's possible.
