Ofiicial sites suck, fact. People will realise that once they get one haha.
We were told by their PR. Cos everyone had been asking if things were defo happening so I gave her a list and asked if she could confirm what was going ahead- she replied with:
As far as I am aware none of the below are happening I’m afraid …
I enquired about the JFK thing cos V Ice is there so thought it might happen (and yeah I wanna go) and she said:
That one is TBC others were pencilled in diaries a while ago but no longer happening due to album promo etc
Blackpool was on the list that I sent. I thought that might happen too. I can only tell you what we have been told. I personally want to put Blackpool as TBC as its not an XF show and it's after the album but as it was listed I don't see how I can

Oh, well now I've seen that I find it easier to believe.. Hmm :/ I guess we should of seen it happening with the album out in July. I don't care too much about the racecourse ones it's just Blackpool. I was pretty certain that was going to happen.
Ah well :/ I don't see why the venues are still saying its happening. Do you reckon they don't know yet or they really are false advertising. I hope we can get refunds otherwise I'll be pissed. My parents will kill me

Like I mentioned recently, we got told a show in Nottingham wasnt happening and we even had someone who worked there come onto this forum to tell people that it was going ahead! We suggested they speak to J&E's management about it and of course eventually people got told it was cancelled.
I don't know how they can advertise them when they're not confirmed but they seem to be able to!
Like that Irish show that was up on ticketmaster.ie once only to be taken down again when they realised they hadn't agreed to it..

It's stupid, that kind of thing should be illegal. I've spent quite a bit of money on tickets altogether for Carlisle & Blackpool, and now I'm hearing I might not even be able to get a refund because J&E weren't main acts, they were just 'featuring'.
It's pathetic seriously, we don't have enough money to just throw it away like that so I'm gonna be seriously pissed if we don't get a refund. It's bad enough false advertising but then to not even give us our money back?
They should get sued for that seriously.. I'll probably try and get a refund for Carlisle in a few weeks but I think I'll hold onto Blackpool a bit longer. I think if any of them are to go ahead, which is unlikely now, it'll be that one. Plus I was looking forward to that one more anyway.
If we don't get refunds for Blackpool there'll probably be a big campaign lol, the amount of J&E fans that were going, some of them flying over from Ireland even.

I hope this goes ahead, cos it's like 30 minutes away from me and I've been there before for McFly. Last time I went there, in 2008, I paid £75 for a VIP ticket thinking I'd be in the first few rows and/or get to meet the band, and alls we got was a buffet and a better parking spot. In the end we complained and got to stand in front of the seated enclosures so we ended up 2nd row, but we got treated terrible for "VIP's" but this one sounds alot better, more value for money at least cos you get to be in the front and you are guaranteed to meet them. If they would have charged £95 for this sort of VIP for McFly, I would have definetly bought it! Think I'll probably just buy (IF IT GOES AHEAD) a seated or standing ticket, and try and meet them before or after the show, cos I don't have £95 to hand, I need to sort out my Blackpool and Carlisle tickets too if they've been cancelled! So much confusion!

Updated explanation from organisers saying they can't guarantee meet and greet even if you get VIP tickets...
##### NOTE TO ALL RE: THE MEET AND GREETS #####
"Unfortunately, we can't do meet and greet tickets seperately to VIP. The reasons for this are that the artists aren't definitely going to be available for M&G. Each artist may only arrive at the venue in time for his/her performance and then will probably leave immediately afterwards. This means the artists higher up the bill (e.g. John and Edward and Lloyd) may not have an opportunity to even do M&G. We'd LOVE to be able to do some sort of M&G ticket but it would end up being unfair if we were only able to offer different artists to those that you were wanting to meet. The uncertainty on who would be available and when means we can't formally sell tickets or even offer freebies for meet and greet. The £95 VIP ticket is aimed more at sponsors and local businesses who will be more likely to want the meal, drinks, bar etc and the meet and greet is an added component to VIP but contains the disclaimer that we don't know for definite that it will happen! We think that the ticket prices are good value for the number of artists who are performing and the length of the show. We also added the child discount for 14's and under as we know that many people of this age group would want to attend and not necessarily be able to afford the adult prices.
I hope this clears up the situation on the meet and greet. Sorry if this disappoints anyone, our only aim really is to put on an event which people will enjoy!
Thanks! - The Nantwich Live Team

There was a guy working for this Nantwich thing at Stoke yesterday handing out leaflets and stuff for this. He said John & Edward would definitely be doing the meet & greet and that they are trying to sort something seperate out from VIP for M&G so that it's cheaper and you don't need to take all the crap that comes with VIP. I dunno how reliable he is with this information obviously, just thought I'd share

They're struggling to sell the VIP tickets at that stupid price, there are loads of seats not sold at the front and they have now released some of Row 8 (originally VIP tix were front 10) at £35 instead of £98!

Just heard from them. They are looking into the possibility of adding a meet and greet option for J&E without you needing to get the VIP tickets. Should they do this, then all present customers will be given the option to ‘upgrade’ their ticket rather than having to buy another one at the new price. They say please keep checking nantwichlive.co.uk for information. They add that they haven’t decided whether or not this option will go ahead just yet.
