Right, review time. This was one of my fave gigs in the UK. It was a lovely family day out in a lovely big park, lovely staff and security, loads of kids having fun and all the acts were nice. The twins were just awesome, especially Edward, and we had loads of fun with nice none-bitchy Jed fans and did some fun street teaming. A great day / night out and the crowd loved the boys. They looked like they were buzzing too. All is back to normal!
Jane, Sue and Sally got there before us and pimped out the back gate area with Jedward balloons. Me and Julie were stuck on the A14 for ages, so much cars and lorries, thank god for Juie's air conditioning. So we got there just after the boys, but they'd not stopped so we hadn't missed much.
We went and hung by the backstage area watching the others arrive. Carla, Courtney, Alana, Gemma n Katie were there too, nice to see them all.
Afro thought he was the biggest rock star in the world, Danyl was sweet though and his face lit up when he saw me and Julie. We tell him every time we're there to see J&E but it doesn't seem to bother him, lol. Had a quick word with Liam and gave him some street teaming stuff for the twins. He was a sweetie.
Afro on first. Oh dear. Sorry Jamie, you were great on Xfactor tour, but again, like Newmarket, dreadful choice of songs and ruined them. I have no idea who told him doing Arctic Monkeys and Killers was a good idea. Backing track ballsed up, embarrassing. Hated it. Finishing with Sex on Fire redeemed it a bit.
Thankfully whilst he was on the boys were out and about in the backstage area doing interviews etc so we could watch them instead of Jamie. John gave Edward a piggy back, whirling him round (hearts in our mouths) and went to the toilet a lot.
Stacey was next, we'd been waving at her before she went on, she was in a good mood and did her usual thing, went down well in a nice sunny park. Danyl next and he hit the stage with energy and then did some rubbish songs too, doh. Shame, I like Danyl best out of all the other Xfactor lot, but again he just doesn't hack it as well as he should do on stage.
Then twin times! Woohoo. They were warming up, John dancing, and Edward whirling round on one leg, doing filming for their tv show etc backstage. As they were getting ready to go on John decided he wanted to go get the duck Sue had given him, they took that on stage with them at the start. Edward put one of Julie's street team stickers on it and waved at us.
Guys ready to go on stage:
Edward went on on his gold pimped crutches and everyone just broke out in smiles cos it was obvious he was fine and could do this. He threw the crutches away after less than a minute and just hopped for the rest of the show. He used he mic stand now and then for balance, but threw that away a lot too. He managed to get his usual hand moves in and even went at John with his mic stand like he does in atst. It was brilliant.
Crowd loved them, there were loads of Jed posters and painted faces in the crowd and down the front. Lots of woohoos and no boos. John checked he was ok half way through, but Ed said he didn't want any awwwws and was fine. John did usual hand flips an splits, and went down in the pit.
They did We will rock you, um er, rock dj? can't remember! lol All the small things, Under Pressure, Ghostbusters - Ed using a crutch as a ghostbuster gun at one point.
At the end one of the comperes came on to interview them on stage. He was sooo tall. Edward: Hello tall man, what's your name. They got to plug the tv show, they were filing from the stage at this point, plug the album etc and talk about Edward's leg. Surgery planned for next week sometime.

There's atst and we will rock you, some crowd stuff and a couple of backstage ones :
www.youtube.com/user/Akka69Gemma videod every song, they should be online by tomorrow
Then Diversity were on, but we didn't really take much notice, we were waiting to say bye to the boys. Diversity were on for bugger all time, if I'd paid for them I'd seriously want my money back! But there were fireworks so that was cool. Everyone just screams like banshees at Perry, it's not right, he's just a little kid! He played football with a Jedward balloon.
Loads piled round to see Diversity get on their tourbus after the set. Took them an hour to get on. 10 mins performance, and 1 hr pratting round getting on bus, wtf?! We handed out over 1000 leaflets at this stage and stickers, Sue and Sally got dressed up in their ghostbusters outfits! Best question of night: Are you promoting paintballing? pmsl People were enthusiastic taking leaflets advertising the album, hardly anyone said no thanks =
