Vocally quite weak, but the lyrics were incredibly fitting and touching. It actually brought tears to my eyes. They were at their most vulnerable we've seen them ever, IMO. Yeah that was it alright, it was the first time they really, really looked vulnerable. The inevitability of the exit was painted on their faces. Awful.

It was so perfect for that moment. And yeah, the vocals were bad in places but I still cried when they were singing it. The lyrics fitted SO well with what was happening.

I've actually only watched it once, & that was on YouTube about 2 weeks after they left. I didn't watch the actual thing & as soon as Lloyd's name was announced as the last one through, I literally went upstairs and started crying. (how pathetic am I?!)
I did really like the performance though. They weren't /that/ bad vocally. They just seemed very nervous & eager to please.

I listened to it properly for the first time today, and it's not actually that bad. At times it's a bit pitchy but thats totally understandable, they were nervous, resigned to the fact they were going home and just wanted to give it their all of their last performances (and probably get it over and done with). They did hold the tune for the most part of it and I think they held it together well, apart from the ending when they started to come to terms with the situation and looked really upset. I think the lyrics were very fitting, sentimental and poignant, it was a nice way of just making a point and effectively sticking two fingers up at the haters. I basically summed up what there whole journey had been about, no matter happened they were gonna stay true to themselve, be only themselves and ignore anyone who told them to do anything different.

I just want to have a little rant about Olly Murs... HE IS SO AROGANT! I bet that if he went out instead of John and Edward, then Jedward would of came second instead of him... On the Xtra factor on the sunday results show after John and Edward got sent home, Holly was like so why do you think you were in the bottom two, and he was like "Well i dunno probably cos people thought i was safe and people were already voting for me" TWATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT! How full of himself is he? I'm suprised him and his HUGE FAT BLOODY EGO could get through the bloody DOOR! ARGH I HATE HIM. HAAAAATE HIM. Also don't you think it is a bit ironic that in this video- www.jedwardgenius.com/apps/videos/videos/show/6362511-xtra-factor-week-7-live-show right at the end when Holly asks what would you rather get sent home by, deadlock or judges votes, John and Edward say deadlock because the public are the ones buying the cd's, (if it had gone to deadlock they would have actually stayed). And Olly said he would rather get saved or eliminated by Judges votes... and what happend the next night? he Judges decided to save Olly. hmmm irony i think! I'm sorry for going on but i had to express my hatred for Olly Murs sorry if any of you like him!

I absolutely sobbed my heart out. I still can't watch it now without tears in my eyes. It wasn't even the fact that they were going out of the competition it was the way they went out - still with the booing and stuff. I thought it was a lovely song to sing and they sang it with such emotion, it summed up their journey. I just wanted to give them such a big hug, though. And when John caught Cheryl's kiss that just set me back some more. Bless him, that was so cute.

Cheryl was lovely to the boys on that occasion, and Dannii was awful, she really had to twist the knife. Musically it was a pretty terrible performance, but the twins were choked up and I'm sure they knew they weren't going to get away with it a second time.

I've never watched it either. When they announced Lloyd was through, I left the room I thought the lyrics were perfectly fitting for them and I also think it was a little tribute to Louis after how bullishly he defended them. And my little rant on this topic would be reserved for Danni. The studio audience, who had been disgracefully allowed to boo two teenagers like a stadium of thuggish hooligans for weeks on end were clearly being egged on by her to greater derision and aggression towards j&e. I resent the way she was subsequently portrayed as the moral guardian of the 'singing competition', and that she could revel in this role in that moment because IMO she failed utterly as a human being. What does it say about you if you encourage and take enjoyment from the intimidation and humiliation of two young lads? I thought she completely disgraced herself. And John's reaction when he mouths a thank you after they are eliminated made her look even more petty minded.
