An insider said: "Peter is keen to see if Jedward have any acting ability. He needs twins for these parts and they have a perfect look for the film.

"But the characters have very prominent roles. They are the youngest dwarves and are sent out scouting a lot."

They added: "The big question is whether Jedward could settle down on a major shoot because they are so excitable and hyperactive."

This is perhaps my favourite news story ever! The thing is, I can easily imagine this.....

"Hi, I'm Fili, and I'm Kili and together we are....." *big pause, confused looks* ;D

If this happens, I will break the habit of a lifetime and go to the cinema to watch a fantasy film...

I can't for the life of me imagine them as dwarves...that's so hilarious.

hobbits would have suited them better but whatever :')

eh, how are they gonna be hobbits, they're huge, they're like 5'11", they'd be better as elves, they've defo got an ethereal look about them...

size doesn't matter though, remember that John-Rhys Davies (who's a very tall bloke!) was a dwarf so John and Edward wouldn't have any problems either...they only shot them (hobbits, dwarfs) from the waist and up when they're kneeling and then there's a double when they have to do full body shots and stuff.
