A cover yes but no one writes good xmas songs any more. The last who did (The Darkness) didn't get #1 with theirs because people preferred the dismal "Mad World" by Gary Jules

Obviously i want them to do an original song, i pray for it in fact, but i actually think that christmas song would be amazing haha

I want them to do a song that shows there vocal ability I don't mean some slushy ballad but something that will show that they can actually sing

I know what you mean, some of the tracks on the album don't even sound like them any more. So much better live! But I know it's all the rage in pop music to have that enhanced digital sound for the vocals, look at Joe "perfect pitch" McElderry's track for example the vocal sounds so highly processed I can hardly tell it's him.

But not a slushy ballad!

What I really like is when on TV and radio shows people try to show them up by asking them to sing something, no backing track, no auto tune etc most modern pop singers would decline, but they nearly always sing something! And it's fine! I actually really like the sound of their voices singing together.

i hope no more cover they need an original material - i came across with some tweets bween SFGF (scouting for girls fan) thats what it mean i think and they were talking jedward . other one said: I love Jedward but they're gonna kill it , the other one tweeted: I 'll check the link when I get home. i tried to follow but it was protected . i ask to follow, no reply

i hope it means nothing

I hadn’t even considered the possibility of a Christmas single! I would like that very much and it would be a good way to maintain their profile in the music side of things, I mean, everybody loves a cheesy, novelty Christmas tune, right? Okay, maybe not but I sure as hell do!!

If they were to cover a pre-existing Christmas song, Wizzard would be awesome. I could also envision Another rock ‘n’ roll Christmas, with plenty of opportunities to customise it by inserting the word ‘Jedward’ everywhere, but the original is by Gary Glitter and… well, there’s probably a good reason why despite the fact that there are loads of Christmas compilation albums out there, none of them have touched it with a bargepole. :-/

Alternatively, they could always do Edward’s unique rendition of Santa Claus Is Coming to Town…

Ultimately though, I think that they definitely need original material from now on. To proceed otherwise would be career suicide at this point, considering that ATST was actually a pretty good song choice for them and it didn’t exactly storm the charts. Besides which, they’re such an interesting act, they deserve new and interesting songs!

LOL!! that would be hilarious!
im still really annoyed that ATST didnt do as well, they did a really good job of it and usually i would hate anyone, even if it was jedward, covering a blink song but i really liked it. But yeah original stuff FTW!!!

they do deserve new and interesting songs, I think they'd love a Christmas song. A very Jedward Christmas, I'd like Christmas music more if we didn't have to listen to it for 3 solid months tbh. Jedward Bells,

Why are people thinking it's Ghostbusters? Because the video people asked auditionees to dance to it? Because they're performing on Halloween?

I don't understand it really especially seeing they've said it's a new one both in interviews and on twitter.

I don't know why. We're obvs not the hardest group of people to please.

I know the boys have been known to "stretch the truth" at times but I sincerely think they're being serious when they say this is a new song.

People are losing faith in Louis too. Louis will know that performing on the show is a big deal. If J&E look bad, he looks bad.
